As a licensed associate mental health counselor, my goal is to empower each individual I work with to overcome personal obstacles and improve their overall well-being. Using evidence based interventions, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in depression, anxiety, substance use issues, women’s emotional health, and trauma treatment. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and it is my job to help you navigate our complex world in order to live a healthier, happier life. I approach counseling from a strengths based, holistic mentality and believe that all components of our lives are interrelated and affect one another. To me, the purpose of therapy is to find the best way for you to connect those components in order to live a healthy, enjoyable life.
Personally, I enjoy spending time outdoors and cooking with my significant other. Together, we spend our time hiking, camping, gardening, and watching as many movies as we can.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Belmont University and a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Emporia State University. I am interested in providing services to children, families, couples, and individuals, using creativity and spontaneity during sessions. As individuals, we all express ourselves differently – it is my job to make sure you feel like you can express yourself fully and completely in therapy.
As you’ll see, I believe that balance is a key element in healthy functioning. I look forward to working with you and helping you find the right balance to lead a fulfilling life.
