Reading Progress:

Marriage is difficult
Posted: September 28, 2016

I heard a comedian rationalize that he did pretty well as a husband, but his marriage failed. He did not take it too hard because he found out that Einstein got divorced. The comedian decided if the smartest man who ever lived could not stay married, then he wouldn’t feel too guilty about not measuring up.

A fulfilling marriage is difficult work. Both sets of my grandparents were married over 60 years, and my mom felt cheated that she only got 58 years with my dad before the cancer took him. But they must’ve figured out some important skills to stay married through difficulties.

The masters of marriage who have stayed together past their Silver Anniversaries have lessons to teach us.

If you want to strengthen your marriage, then join us for the Building Healthier Marriages Workshop on October 22nd in Spokane.
